Pop off the plastic on the back of the rear hatch. That should allow access to the back of the plate bolts to remove the one with the messed up head by pulling it from the back or pushing the other through too.
License plate help plz!
The screws holding my plate on (rear) were rusted and stripped when I tried to change my plate. I took it to Sears to see if they could get them for me and he broke one of the screw heads off. So now, I'm on expired plates, with one broken and one stripped screw. I am gonna have to have someone drill them out and tap new aluminum screws (I was told by Toyota dealership....who want 85 bucks to do it). I need to know the mm size please and maybe another opinion?? thanks

thanks, I got the hatch panel off...but the bolts are very hard to get to because of a big metal piece that goes over it..hard to explain...can't get pliers down there...
