I took it off the bumper for a cleaner bumper. If I wanted to keep it on the bumper, I wouldn't have moved it. I didn't want to put it on the lower grill, because that is where the only air gets to the radiator when moving.WhiteNoise said:If you must run a front plate this will give you a much cleaner look. It was just a suggestion. I think your current placement destroys the look of the entire front end of your ride. That said it is your ride, do what you like.SHOOBOX said:I took it off the bumper for a cleaner bumper. If I wanted to keep it on the bumper, I wouldn't have moved it. Sorry, no offense was intended. You have a good idea there. It would make the plate look like it was floating, which is cool also. My original plan was to center the plate, but that is where the fans draw air when the car is stopped. I put it in the corner so that the people in the bumper-to-bumper traffic could look back and see it.WhiteNoise said:It was just a suggestion. I have run without a front plate, in CA, for over a year no issues. If I ever get pulled over for it I will go with the bracket I suggested from ptuning, and take it off for shows. I do not have any pictures but I have seen it in person and it appears to be sturdy. There is a metal x type frame behind it. Cheers.SHOOBOX said:True, but the cops would have a fit. Do you have any pics of that other mount on an xB? I think that it would require a metal frame around it to prevent the plate edges from getting bent.
Here in CA it is ILLEGAL. But prob just a fix it ticket. I have not had a problem...Yet.bennyin2004 said:So, It IS illegal driving vehicles without a front license plate?
(p.s : I'm in california)
I love it! But I don't think there is enough room between the radiator on the xB for one. I will have to measure cause that is sweet.Hellen4Wheels said:For those who are serious about showing their vehicles and don't want the hassle of removing their front plate:
