license plate relocator

So I have my xB2, got my vinyl set to go on the front bumper and lower lip, now all I need is a place to put the front license plate that isnt the bumper. Anyone find a good license plate relocator that will work with the 2nd gens? I've seen a few and also thought about going the zip tie route, but I want it to look cleaner than zip ties and I dont want to spend $70+ on a simple mod like this.

Look at:

That idea can be mounted elsewhere on the front grill too.

this would be awesome btw. (with remote of course). In Mass you can get pulled over for not having a front plate, you could mess with cops constantly haha.
I forget where I got mine from, but it was like $20 shipped.

Please don't. There are MANY on here who can better answer many of them.
If you remember, I'd like to know. That sounds like a great price.
here's one for $20 shipped that I picked up after going through some of the threds you posted:

THAT is where I saw that!
I remembered it and couldn't locate it. I must have spent 1/2 hour looking. I had forgotten custom xb gauges has more than (their wonderful) gauge faces . . .
Good find!
Yep.
But he wanted to spend less than $50.
PT's is $70 (basically).

BUT, it DOES plug into the towhook mount- the area of the big squares on the bumper. It can be removed easily.
Oh boy. It would really help if I read, huh?

Sorry! I definitely understand what you're talking about! If you didn't mind cutting up, drilling, and ultimately tapping your OEM tow hook, you could make your own very easily. Maybe you have a friend that works at a machine shop or something.

Another option would be a couple lengths of all-thread, nuts, and some large fender washers. Just like the one posted above! ;)
What I really want now is that remote controled one that hides your plate haha!

The bolt thread is a normal thread. Instead of altering the tow hook, one could look for a different bolt of the same threading at a hardware store. If possible, get stainless or brass, as those won't rust. Then, one can use that as a base for a custom plate mount . . .
(or something else custom there)
