Ok I know this is a long shot but does anyone know of a spacer for the front so I can lift it like 1". I know this coulndt be hard I see them on tacomas all the time. I am just looking for any ideas or help. I am going to check with my local offroad shop today I know they can probly fab me something but I know it will cost a arm and a leg. I really want to remove my drop and get the front up 1" Why has no one made this yet!!! :(

if you find one that bolts-on, let us know!
There are a number who want one, but none have yet told me about a solution.
I will keep looking. The local shop said nope. It figures aholes they can lift a freaking 1980's lincolin and put 36" wheels on it but nooooooo we cant make a spacer for the toaster. I will find something. wait a min you know what all I would need is a steel plate to go through the strut tower. I wasnt even thinking about that I waas thinking of a spacer to go on between the spring and the spring seat. I know something can be fabed for that. I am going to pull foo my strut and make a template.
Talked to a different shop and they said that iff the bolts on top are removable if so then I could cnc a spacer and put some longer studs in it and tada! I may be on to something here. I may be running into a brick wall also lol.
There is someone on clubxb that makes them, who I've been told now has them for ours. Let me check.
Randode.com is who supposedly has them for 2nd Gen XBs, 2" lift. Might have to contact them about it.
Sweet I will check them out.
Yep they have a 2" front and rear for $250, I am waiting in details of the lift.
Did you buy it? If so put up some pics. I'm looking at a 2" lift with some beefier tires... :) I like the xB that the Marines built, but don't have the budget to strip a '99 and ' 08 Rav4 for it's tyranny and AWD. o_0
hmm, I'm still curious if anyone has gone this route yet.
When a car is lifted, does the travel of the suspension increase, or is the whole suspension raised? Even if travel remains unchanged, I imagine there's a significant penalty in handling for raising the center of gravity. Would there be any effect on max payload and the strength of each axle?

Our box could certainly use better approach angles. I've scraped the bumper going up just a very steep driveway.

Still, I'm also of half a mind to give in and get lowering springs if they really improve the car in their own way.
It does change the center of gravity, but a 2" lift is hardly noticeable in how it handles. Once you get about 4" on there, it really starts to handle different. A for suspension travel, it depends. There are different types of lifts out there. Body lifts would not affect suspension travel, but you'd feel the center of gravity shift more. Suspension lifts would also depend on the type. If it is blocks on the top of the springs, suspension wouldn't change much, if you used longer struts and springs, It would change the travel.
randode does make the 2" kit! post pix if someones done this:)
So... I guess there is no lift kit besides the $25k invested in the xB in the above pic?
Saw a Honda Element awd with BFG All Terrain's on it. IT looked bas *** and it looked like it hadn't been washed in years which gave it a bad *** look. Someone needs to make a lift kit of some type because not everyone is in to lowering.
the element can come in AWD i think
