Look What I Saw

On my way home, about a block away from where I work, I saw this parked around 5:30 PM in downtown San Bernardino. If this is your car, I'm really sorry for taking pictures without your permission. I just wanted to share them here and see what people think. I personally like the way this car looks. I'm gonna have to do some research on pricing on who sells them, etc.

Oh, I forgot to take a picture of his front license plate but I think you can see it on one of the pictures.

Hey! Thats my car!!!
LOL! Just kidding...I do have a carbon fiber hood and spoiler and black rims but I do not have the black hatch. I like the look of that though. And the red on the rims is a nice touch too!
Wangster,

You may want to at least fuzz out the license plate.
Explain why the need to fuzz out the plate? This vehicle is on a public highway, seen by hundreds of people everyday, why the need? Even taking a picture of people in public is fair game.

Nice looking xB's, really like the carbon look!

I agree.. Its a publicly owned plate... (leased essentially from your state) It would be different if you were posting up a picture of a robbery suspects car and didn't want them caught ;)
My suggestion was not based on legalities....merely respectful consideration.
I've never understood the fuzzing out your license plate thing (although I've occasionally done it). What's the concern? On any given day, anybody driving near me knows what my license plate is.
There is no intention on my part to make a big deal out of the original post. Considering Wangster was posting a picture with out the permission of the car's owner, I was suggesting at the least the license plate be fuzzed out. This was in no way a criticism of Wangster posting a pick. Actually, his post is a compliment of the owner's choices of mods and over all look.

I stand corrected, and apologize for any perception of criticism against the pictures. :innocent:
I had to step out of the office and on my way back to the office, I saw this car parked there again.
He/she must either work in that building.
I'm going to try to find him and make him join the site.

I can just picture it, "join this site or else!" I hope he does, that's one nice car.
Hey Geezer, I love the card... Can I modify it slighty to put my handle and car info? Great idea.
Sweet. Thanks Geezer.
I even have the template paper (the one you fold and tear) for business cards.
I'll keep some handy and next time I see the car, I'll put one on his front windshield, one on his driverside window, and one on his rear window.

Do we get something for referrals?
If so, I definitely need to put my handle on the card. :D
Thank you, thank you very much.

Actually I can't take credit for that card, I believe it's Eric's creation. There's more on this topic at http://newscionxb.com/feedback/promoting_new_scion_xb_com-t1239.15.html
due respect to all - you need no permission to photo a car (or a person, or a dog, or anything else) in the public - or even one in a driveway - public view is ... well, public.

I've never blocked out photo of my plate. To do so on the car (on the raod / in full public view) is actually a violation of law, so I see no reason to block it elsewhere.

It is even against the law to block out your VIN on the dashboard (well, unless your state is a rare exception.)

No big deal - but those are the facts -

Sincerely yours, Missouri License Plate # 3087 :D
It would be nice if they could figure out a way to delete the emblem bump. I realize this would mean new glass but still.

Okay, I must of not understood this thread. Emblem bump?
The emblem under the windshield wiper. I would like to shave it but it just leaves that bump not to mention pin holes.
