COOL FACT: Codename under development was "UN Project." ???

Yes. How cool...

Either way, it's nice to see the xB2 on the list.

Just got the annual auto issue of Consumer Reports. All three Scions came in as recommended. All three models were listed in the front as best buys under 20K. Scion was at the top of the list for “Reliability by brand”, Toyota was fourth on that list behind Honda and Acura. The XB was third on the list for in the category of “Hatchbacks/Wagons” for “Most bang for the buck”. The “Bang for the Buck” adds up ownership cost over five years with idea that the car would be sold/traded in after those five years, basically what the value is after five years and all cost for maintenance and gas for five years. The XB had $27,500 ownership cost over those five years. None of the Scions were on the “Used cars to avoid” list. All three late model Scions (XA,TC,XB) are listed on the “used models to look for” list.
Only 19 American models were recommended overall. Sad news for Detroit.
Sorry for no link on this but Consumer Reports wants one to pay yearly fee for content on their web site, which I can’t rap my head around yet. Of course the Auto issue is on news stands near you.
