You need to get an adapter plug. There are several threads on here for that.
My ipod 5th Gen does not charge with provided ipod cable. Any one else?
I just bought the ipod nano 5th gen and plugged into the provided ipod interface cable and it says something about it does not charge etc. It works fine otherwise. Does anyone else have this issue and if so, any solution?
