My car is a daily driver and mild in comparison to what others do with theirs...darn budget keeps me from doing too much LOL....Not to mention it is my Avon Mobile...so can't go too wild. We have a few more planned before our next show in a few weeks....to tie into the red

but here are some pics of what we have done:

Yep I sure do! Also bought a Corolla Rumion toy...man it was expensive for a little matchbox size car LOL Forgot to bring my Ride Makerz that day.

The red hubcaps are definitely getting attention....people either love them or hate them.

It will all tie in together once I get the red pinstripe down the side and the black & red logo on the hood....oh and adding red LED's to Headlights and grill.

Someone told me the other day that my car is very patriotic now....red and white on the outside and blue on the inside LOL Haven't decided on underglow yet....Hubby wants to paint the scion logos in front and back and not sure I want to do that yet.

I totally love how bold they are though...it's "different". We are considering the logo painting....not sure if we want to do white/red or just red. Contemplating because I don't know how difficult taking the back one off is and to get it back on. I know about the front one.

The red hubcaps will look better once we get the pinstripe down the side and logo on the hood....We are also doing red LED's in headlights and grill

but honestly...I think it looks meaner and hotter with the red caps :)

That is the awesome thing about these. You can do them how ever you want and still make it look good. The rear emblem is double sided on there. It is kinda a pain to get off. You just need to slide something between it, I used a plastic scraper. Like the rubber body ones. Bondo spreaders is what they are called. Then you can just put new double sided tape on it and reattach it. The red stripe will help accent the red wheels for sure.
I thought the one on the back was attached to the body....meaning there would be holes behind it....I know the front one is double stick taped on....someone suggested using fishing line to get it off.....but it seems since the back one is attached inside the body it might be a bit more difficult.

Looks good. I'll be curious as to the finished look.

As for the emblems . . .
The holes are install guides and attachment is by stickum/adhesive. It is the same black stuff as the xB logo. Fishing line or dental floss are good at getting them off. If you plan to reuse, just be VERY careful for to "snap" them or bend the sheetmetal getting off the rear Scion logo.
As for the grill one, I would pop the grill off and them carefully remove the logo. I used a flat-head screw driver "butt" to push the rear tabs from the back and the flat head to push the emblem itself up from the grill plastic. Just take your time, be patient, and try to keep everything level as it comes up (one side gets too far out compared to another).
They should all be easily removable, paintable, and replaceable.

(You take "AvonLady" to the next level! Now that there is an Avonmobile . . . Is there an Avon Cave, Avonarang, and Avonplane too? -Vision of Avon version of Batman . . . )
We are hoping to have the logo, LED's and pin stripe done by December 7th since we have a show out here....will post pics once we are done.

I would say that we have an AvonCave...between my garage and house full of Avon....we could stack up all the boxes and make a cave LOL The Avonarang and Avonplane will be in the future LOL I certainly have to sell more than I have been to get there LOL

I like your Avon version of Batman....my new motto shall be "Fighting wrinkles one skin cream at a time" or Making America beautiful one lipstick at a time LOL

Although with the new celebrities coming on like Patrick Dempsey and Reese Witherspoon...this definitely isn't grandma's Avon anymore!

LOL Thanks. Looking forward to the other mods. Should have a new guage face next week or so...soemthing that blends better than the one I have does. I HATE the blobs of light with words in it...can't see it during the day at all!

Logo should be here next week, Pinstriping too...we are also going to get a sort of metalic for the caps to really jazz it up. Not glitter...metallic... Been getting a lot of compliments and looks around town with these caps. I figure you either love em or hate em...either way it works for me :)

Next weekend we will be doing Red LED's in the headlights, and Red LED's in the grill and around the scion logo.

I can't seem to decide if I really want to pain the logo's on the front and back. Honestly I think it might be overkill since well the front and back you can't really see the caps...so I might just leave those....Not sure..

Any opinions on painting the logo's front and back? I know some would remove them....but I won't do that...I like em'....

I love my Avon Box! Going to get plates that say Avon BX...just need to replenish funds first LOL

Im old fashioned and like body side molding. I hate getting my doors dinged up so might I suggest a red 1-1 1/2 inch stripe down the side of the doors. I jsut ordered one to match the overall color but you could speck any color and have it painted on the right size molding. I found a good price at Zetaproducts. They were around 120 with shipping vers almost $300. elsewhere.

I like the fast that its stands out in the crowd. As for paint you could walk a car lot and find your color then send the the paint code for a ford but you order the Scion Xb kit.
Down the side of the doors? I must be tired because I am not understanding what you mean? We are going to do about a 1 inch stripe down the whole side of the car and at the end it is going to be a bit jagged, like my swoosh for my Avon logo is...

Just talked to my logo guy yesterday and I should have the logo next week...should have my new gauge face shortly after that. Then just need to get the strip for down each side....LED's should be here next week for the grill, headlights, footwells and cup holders. I have to get all this done before our next show on the 7th. We aren't really a "show" car because of being a daily driver...but it is nice to have it coming together finally :)

We know the red won't be legal while driving. We will have it hooked up to a switch...More for "fun" than for every day...Lovin the cars you posted!

Just because it's a daily driver does not mean it can't be a show car. There are many "show" cars that get driven to work. The only difference is that it takes a little longer to get one clean enough to show when you drive it every day.

Gotta love the box!
Oh I know that....I guess if anything we would be considered "mild". But soooo many more cars are definitely better than ours. For example...I have 2 cracks in the windshield....I will fix them eventually....when it becomes close to being illegal....I figure what's the point right now since this windshield seems to be a rock magnet.....now if it was a show car...I would have replaced by now....but don't have the funds to keep replacing.... And need to work on the rock chips ALL over the front... Got the touch up paint...just need to make it happen.

Got a spray on bra...but need to get all the chips fixed before attempting that.

On to another question....what is your opinion about painting the badge logo's red? Or White? Or Black? I am trying to get opinions because I am not sold on the idea of painting them at all. I know many would just remove....but I won't do that...so it either stays silver or is painted. I think Red would be a bit much...

avonlady....where'd you get your spray on bra and how much was it if I may ask. Are you happy with it? How does the edge look..does it get really dirty around it? I called Ziebart and it was 500 there.

Thanks!
Well, I haven't used it yet...not sure how to apply and want to get rock chips repaired first. I got it from Griots Garage...but it was a special deal for $3 a can.....so I bought 2 of them...in retrospect should have bought more...

So I am not sure on your questions about the edge..hoping someone else has done this and can give us both some insight!

Thought about it and nixed it. Got the pinstripe done...should have the logo this week and metallic overlay for the caps this week will get updated pics once done. Pinstripe does help blend with the red caps...wasn't sure what I was going to think about it until after doing it....then waited a day to see how I really felt about it LOL

LOL I will have pics of it shortly. Should have my hood decal today and if so wanting to get that on there and do pics all at the same time... But if I don't get it today I will snap a few pics of it. It really does tie into the red wheels nicely....but I need to get the wheels with a metallic....haven't found the right one yet...noone seems to carry the metallic finish in red...and I don't want silver or gold LOL

Was next to a guy yesterday near here in a 1st gen. Gave me the thumbs up :) He was on the phone. Definitely a love it or hate it kind of thing!

So far no chipping or anything. I would recommend sanding them...then using the Krylon paint for PLASTICS....that seems to be a good option. We are going to refinish them before our next show on the 7th of december...but that is more to add the metallic than anything else. We really like the way they turned out.

Decal for hood did come today so laying it flat to get it ready to apply...will get pics up once done today to show it and the pinstripe!

Ok....got the logo on the hood today....and snapped some pics. Here it is in all it's glory...the Avon Mobile! Pin stripe has jagged edges on each end just like the logo on the hood. It all really ties together nicely. Hopefully next week we will get the metallic finishing spray for the caps and be good to go.

Sooo...what do ya think?

Thanks Shancopp! We are really pleased with the progress. Doing the LED's on Saturday and it will be at night so we will try to get some pics and get them posted. After the LED's we are just waiting to do a new gauge face and that will be it until the beginning of the year...unless we get parts for Christmas....which is what Hubby and I are planning on giving each other....Alarm, PAC controller, possibly an amp....Who knows what else LOL Dang budgets keep me from doing too much more....but REALLY happy with the progress and how it is all FINALLY coming together for what we visioned when we bought the car....

Although when we bought it we never would have thought about red hubcaps...but lovin the effect of them. Definitely a head turner!

I do want to get another set of the caps to do something else with or the same with so that winter driving isn't such a biggie. Contemplating taking the caps off for the winter to avoid damage.

Also hoping this weekend to get more Blue LED's installed inside. So we are totally red white and blue.

Anyway...enough of my rambling. Will get updated pics up as soon as I can. Can't wait to see the "final for now" product :)

Got a new gauge face thanks to JEREMY from NO LIMITZ IND. I HIGHLY recommend him! He answers questions and RESPONDS to PM's or emails! Will definitely be doing business with him again! It is nice to know that some people still care about customers! High quality products, great prices and superior customer service!!!

This looks soooo clean! I LOOOOVE IT! Jeremy you ROCK in my book!!! I really appreciate everything and look forward to continuing to do business with you!

Sorry the pics aren't as clean as I would like. Was short on time to get them today...will try to get cleaner ones later :) The icons shine through perfect and are sharp (not fuzzy like the pic LOL)

Had previously gotten a gauge face from Customxbgauges and it was well like pulling teeth. Lack of communication and the product wasn't what I was looking for. It was sloppy....blobs of light...words instead of indicator icons...just not the CLEAN look I wanted. And Jason wouldn't respond when I asked what we could to do fix this....not to mention other issues. So I wouldn't recommend customxbgauges based on my experience....and have several people interested in new gauge faces based on what we have been doing.....All could have been resolved if Jason would answer PM's and emails, but instead he ignores them. He doesn't mention on the site that if you do an LED replacement, you have to have a new underlay for the gauge face....and when you get the underlay it is still blobs of light...not just shining through for the indicator. Beyond that you couldn't see any of the indicators during the day hardly because the gauge was blacked out at the part where they would shine through. I am sure some people are pleased with the work from customxbgauges, but I am definitely not! Before I posted this I did try to resolve with Jason and was again...just ignored. Guess he doesn't really care once he has the $$.

Go with QUALITY and get your stuff from Jeremy at No Limitz Ind!!!!
If he doesn't have it on his site, contact him he might be able to get it for you! Like the gauges he doesn't have them on there, but he can get them!

Soooo we were going to install my new HID's, PAS controller and interior blue lights on a switch over the weekend...until we got a foot of snow and got stuck at our friends house. Luckily we made it home today (we were stranded since Friday)....so if the snow ever lets up and we can get around we will be getting more mods done :) After that I think we are done for awhile.

The snow here is gonna hit the budget hard since we haven't been able to get out and about. But at least I got my Christmas wish which was to get back home LOL

how much did you pay for the cluster ?
For the lights or for the new gauge face or for both? If you need a new gauge face you gotta talk to Jeremy *No Limitz IND* He is the bomb and will be able to quote you based on what you want. As far as the LED's you can get them from Oznium. I got them on Ebay, but could have done better on Oznium and I am sure someone can remind us what kind it takes something like PLCC or something I can't remember what they are exactly. (Bad memory for things like that)
