Just finally picked up my 2012 XB Last night. (incoming bad cell phone pic) It's been raining since, ugh! Can't even see it dry in good light...

Options include Remote start, rear wing, rear bumper protector, trd lowering springs, rear sway bar, front strut brace, and matte black 19's. (Not even pictured on their site yet! I ordered them sight unseen and they are gorgeous).

Welcome!!
Looks good, esp. for brand new. I like the suspension mods-> similar to what I've got <- which compliments each other well.
Any longer term plans, or perfectly happy as is?

Oh, and I love the name . . .
We have our OWN TROLL!

(Of course, I bought a stuffed donkey so we would have a "club jack-a$$," so we don't need another. So, you see my kinda humor)

Thanks guys. I figured if I was going to write a check and be in debt for awhile, I might as well go all out. I almost went with a bunch more like intake and exhaust and what not. But honestly, I kind of want to keep it simple and under the radar. I'm not sure I care much anymore about all that. I just want a nice comfy cruiser that looks good.

I'll probably concentrate more inside. I need to wire in my sub box from my old truck for starters, but will eventually look into something that fits the car better. A stealth box for the rear, or the rear pillars or something. I'm actually digging the factory radio and speakers. I can get some good tones at a good volume without any distortion which is mostly what I enjoy. I had my old system decked out and tuned well (for a small truck done in 2000 at least) and I may just leave all that alone and just get a good complementary sub in the mix. I'm a bass player, I need to feel the lows ;)

I want to tint the fronts to match the backs. Maybe some taillight covers or even new pieces. Big red lenses on a black car always look weird to me. I want them to blend in, so maybe some aftermarket lights.

Main plan is to keep it nice, clean, and last a long time. I know I'm essentially doomed living in the rust belt, but I'll do my best.

I had an idea of a rat rod look for the steels for winter and in looking for tires realized several people around the community have already done it, so I guess I'm not original, but it looks so good! I guess my idea in my head was valid. However spending 1k on the American Classics White Walls I've found just isn't in the cards right now. Maybe once the stock tires wear out. I can't seem to find a cheaper alternative without changing wheels/sizes.

My girlfriend has named him Zod, and I think it's sticking. So I might get a specialty plate and make it official. Maybe a RT. 66 plate.

Eh, I had like 6 different exhausts on my truck. I used to work in several muffler shops... I eventually just went back to stock. My bike is even stock and quiet now. Doesn't muddy up the audio as much. **** I even bought my first auto in like 20 years. Tastes change, I'm getting old and lazy, what can I say? :)

Realizing I had a day off finally, even though sick. I figured I could take advantage and go get a wash and get the front windows tinted finally. Since it's legal here now in IL. Even if I pushed the limit a bit ;)

I haven't had front windows tinted in almost 20 years and certainly missed it. I got harassed into tearing it off back then. Shouldn't be an issue anymore! Pics later when the suns out.

The tint doesn't match exactly but it's a shade lighter so hopefully johnny law pays it no mind that way. I love the dark cocoon feeling at night. I have very light sensitive eyes.

you get like 30-35%? Thats what I did, it's a close match but it's also light enough where you dont get hasseled.
I went with either 30 or 35. Can't remember what I blurted out actually. The windshield stripe is 20. That would probably get me hassled if the fronts were that dark. Waiting for it to dry fully at this point before I make any real judgements.

Welcome to the family! Tint is an issue here in Texas. HAVE to have it with 100º + summers. I added light smoke vent visors which do help with circulation. The BSP is a classic and there are lots of themes you can have with basic black. Enjoy!

So. I hadn't talked to my brother in ages... went over for xmas. I never really told him I got a new car. He tells me he's been looking at XB's and was ready to buy one. I told him I bought one as well. He just pickex up a black 08 with a wing. Manual trans. We now have almost matching cars completely independent of each other. Ha! He may saunter in around here. He'a been reading around various forums about these for awhile.
