Thanks guys. I figured if I was going to write a check and be in debt for awhile, I might as well go all out. I almost went with a bunch more like intake and exhaust and what not. But honestly, I kind of want to keep it simple and under the radar. I'm not sure I care much anymore about all that. I just want a nice comfy cruiser that looks good.
I'll probably concentrate more inside. I need to wire in my sub box from my old truck for starters, but will eventually look into something that fits the car better. A stealth box for the rear, or the rear pillars or something. I'm actually digging the factory radio and speakers. I can get some good tones at a good volume without any distortion which is mostly what I enjoy. I had my old system decked out and tuned well (for a small truck done in 2000 at least) and I may just leave all that alone and just get a good complementary sub in the mix. I'm a bass player, I need to feel the lows
I want to tint the fronts to match the backs. Maybe some taillight covers or even new pieces. Big red lenses on a black car always look weird to me. I want them to blend in, so maybe some aftermarket lights.
Main plan is to keep it nice, clean, and last a long time. I know I'm essentially doomed living in the rust belt, but I'll do my best.
I had an idea of a rat rod look for the steels for winter and in looking for tires realized several people around the community have already done it, so I guess I'm not original, but it looks so good! I guess my idea in my head was valid. However spending 1k on the American Classics White Walls I've found just isn't in the cards right now. Maybe once the stock tires wear out. I can't seem to find a cheaper alternative without changing wheels/sizes.
My girlfriend has named him Zod, and I think it's sticking. So I might get a specialty plate and make it official. Maybe a RT. 66 plate.
