Well I have had my xB for a few months now...bought it in mid October. It is a great little car and I have just begun to mod it. Here is what I have done so far:
  • K&N short ram intake
  • Borla dual exhaust
  • Trailer hitch (towed my Harley home from Omaha 1200 mile trip)
  • Tanabe DF 210 springs
  • 20x 8.5 + 35 Stance TC5 wheels
  • Billet upper and lower grills
  • Small Pinstriping on the hood (plan on slightly more)
  • Temp and Volt gauges
  • Scion leather wrap wheel (e-bay score!)
Upcoming mods:
  • stereo upgrade (Amp, Sub and Seperates ; Big three and dedicated amp feed)
  • Interior Lighting
  • Bespoke Navigation add to my existing touch screen
  • back up camera: I hope to figure out how to integrate this into existing touch screen or change rear view mirror with a combo unit.
  • Complete sound deadning, doors roof floors
  • Painted brake calipers/ rotors
  • Clazzio seat covers and matching door inserts
  • sunroof???
  • Possible exterior lighting (wheel wells and undercarrige)

Welcome! I've had this in mind for my 2011 for some time but so far have not done it. I'm planning to put VDO Vision gauges in the dash above the steering wheel but was afraid of how to get the air out of the radiator hose after I added the water temp sensor. I've read about "burping" the air out by squeezing the hose, etc. How did you do it? Can you please post more pics of your gauges and details on your install? Thanks!

(BTW I realy like the deep blue color of your car! Is that Nautical Blue?)
To be honest, that is a mod I am still in progress on. I bought Autometer gauges in carbon fiber pods and they are installed just above the steering wheel. I have spliced the wires into the existing lighting harness and and a switched IGN power source. The Volt gauge works great, but the last peice of the puzzle is that temp sending unit adapter. On Saturday I plan to cut it into the upper radiator hose. I will definately take pics of the install. Personally I don't think getting the air out of the system will be much of a problem....I hope.
Thanks for the welcome everyone!
I dig the grills!! Looks nice :)
Good looking xB for sure man, I actually dig that blue more than mine lol

I like Big Rick's color too. I'm pretty sure it's Nautical Blue, which (in my opinion) looks richer and has more depth than Elusive Blue.

If Nautical Blue was offered in 2011 (it wasn't) I would have gotten that instead of Stingray Metallic.
Yup Nautical Blue...I was after a red one and fell in love with this when I saw it on a lot. It didn't hurt that it already had the updated touchscreen head unit in it...lol
welcome to the group. I like the current mods!
interested to see the rest. more pictures when/if you do the wheel well lighting! ive been considering it but wasnt sure how durable they would be for me when the snow builds up in their during the winter

My Elusive Blue is a completely different blue than Nautical, mine has shades of blue/purple/grey in different lights and time of day. I wouldn't of chosen (leftover) my color I would've got Stingray or Silver but I grew to like Elusive now. I assume Elusive is the rarest xB color. Nautical is a cool color it kinda looks like the Indigo Ink blue I had on a corolla.

Nice xB Big Rick u sure dove right into mods! Lol

Here is how I mounted the gauges. Thanks to a tutorial on this site, I installed the e-bay leather wrapped wheel myself. (sorry for the sideways pic)
