Just got a Stingray Metallic 2009 xB. No mods yet.

I have a dog that I'm trying to accommodate - so any ideas or experience with seat covers and pet barriers is greatly appreciated.

Love the new color!! I will post pics soon.

Welcome to the site.

There is a guy I work with that has a dog and he got the cargo liner to protect the back. Weathertech.com also has some pet stuff that might work. There is stuff out there. If I come across anything in my searches I will post it here.

Welcome again. Some pics of the new color would be awesome.

Welcome Bindigok. Can't wait to see a photo of your stingray metallic.

As for the dog.....as much as I love my XB, my dog rules and is allowed to shed where ever she wants. I have seen ad specialty magazines with seat covers made out of towel material that you can slip on and off pretty easily.

It looks gray-ish blue. More gray in pure sunlight or at sunset. More blue in the morning or afternoon. I absolutely love it and have no regrets!!! Except for the short visor, bad control of iPod, and difficulty finding seat covers - but all those are REALLY minor. I absolutely love the car and the color and driving it, and the feel of it.

I'm curious as to what you mean by "bad control of iPod" ?? I've been content listening to CD's and was going to let my wife get me a iPod classic for Christmas or something. Is there a better way to go??

Oh I love my iPod and controlling my iPod through my iPod is so fast and easy. Apple perfected it! But the radio in the Scion lacks in how well in controls the iPod. I was really looking forward to controlling my iPod through the car stereo, then I can just leave my iPod sitting in the holder. But the Scion radio has poor controls. If you want to listen to Amy Ray it is easy - go to Artists then scroll to Amy Ray and there it is. However, if you want to listen to Zero 7 then you have to scroll through all of the artists on your iPod. The SCion scroll is SLOW and a pain to use. The iPod wheel is far more efficient. So I just changed it to control through my iPod. Scion missed the boat on that feature!!!!

My dog is my best friend so he goes everyplace I go. If you haven’t already Id recommend picking up the dealer cargo cover. It fits over the backs seats when they are folded down and it even has a little bumper cover that folds over the bumper to protect it when the dog is jumping it. Its made out of a sturdy canvas material and you can just stake it out. The only bad thing is its hard for my dog to grip on so every sharp turn I take all I see is my 85 lb chk lab sliding back and forth in my mirror lol. Weather tech make a pet carriers that’s kind of like a pet tent that straps into the back hooks and they also have a nice rubber mat that fits in the back if you wanted to take your dog and not have the seats folded down. I’m buying there cargo mat, floor mats and rain guards.

Awesome, thank you for the advice!!! I have ordered the Scion cargo mat, waiting now for it.

I will admit that I spoil my dog...here is the padded dog liner that I got just for him:

Now I just have to find a barrier to keep him out of the front seat...for safety. And I think I'm going with GT Covers for custom seat covers (Coverking is too expensive for right now).
