Yeah.... I bet there's a few of us already here. I'm in Garland. I am actually the note holder on 2 xB's. My wife's car we bought back in March, and I just got mine about 3 weeks ago. Nothing but good things to say about the car thus far. Looking forward to some appearance mods later. But I can imagine I will only do appearance stuff. Gonna try and make my Boxx into a retro car. Scallops, Moons and beauty rings,... that kind of stuff. Probably get my buddy to do some old skool Pin Striping for me as well.

My car is a Super White. My wife's Car is the Sizzling Crimson Mica (or whatever it's called). She has Nice wheels already. But that'll probably be one of VERY few mods on hers. She's a lot more conservative than I am.

Hope to have fun with the forums and the people here. Maybe do some Dallas Area Meets as well. I'm old, but I still enjoy cars and the people around them. I'm about to turn 48, so I'm not in the biggest demographic of xB owners.... but hey. My wife is a little older and she's in the second largest demographic....:p

Have fun and live well!

Welcome.

I like the retro-look for the B. It's still on my "maybe do" list. If my RS7 nose busts on the CRAPPY paving around here, I will do so (basically Divco-Rod).

Those are just internet grabs of Divcos that look xB-ish.
But, they give good ideas.

Also, the xB is approx. the same width and height as the "showbox" Fords, just shorter. AND, the "hot rod" look was a key inspiration for the xB2:
Bringing the xB : Automotive Design & Production

"In this two-box design, the front box is longer to accommodate the bigger engine (from a 1.5-liter, 103-hp four to a 2.4-liter, 158-hp four). In fact, the ’08 xB is based on a new platform. In Japan, the bB successor is not the one used for this xB. The JDM car is smaller. Lighter. So where’s the irony? Kim said that if you look at the side view of the ’08 xB, you may notice something that resembles something that is truly an American phenomenon: a high beltline, compressed greenhouse, and slightly raked roof: the hotrod. Even the aforementioned front end, Kim said, has more gesture and attitude than its predecessor. From the (somewhat) innocuous to the aggressive. In other words, it has become a slightly aggro but softened box, which is somewhat ironic."

(I added the emphasis)
I'd LOVE to discuss your "hot rod"/retro ideas! I've got 4 specific xB2 hot rods in my head I'd LOVE to make. Maybe we can use some of those ideas on yours!
