Hi everyone :)
I've had my 2008 xB for a little over a year now and have decided to start doing some some mods to her. Looking forward to being part of the forums here!

Yepp, I was there :) Had a blast looking at all the Scions. I have always wanted to do some mods to her and going to Exposed just pushed me a little further.

Not the best picture I have but it's the only one I have available right now...

This is what I'm fixing first:

The person who owned the car before me was handicapped and had a wheel chair lift installed. She's got a lot of scratches on the interior because of this and a few unsightly ones on the outside but I'm not giving up. I love my xB

Thats crazy. I never heard of a wheel chair lift going in a b.
Haha and they never let you keep the lift : p , could have done great things with one of those lol

Yeah, if it was still there I could probably make something pretty cool with it lol.
Now I'm stuck with a chopped mess :/
That sucker's shreeded.
You'll need the foam, carpeted top piece, and the right-side plastic pocket. It all just slots or clips in place, so no big deal except FINDING the stuff.
It's expensive from Toyota, so I'd recommend finding someone who has or is putting a speaker/amp unit back there. That or finding a yard with a front-wrecked B.

OR . . .
Building a box that fits in there. The spare can be flipped over and a new bolt-down fabricated (like with a bolt and a washer or 2- I used a threaded rod, 2 washers, and a wingnut). That leaves roof for a flush-mounted woofer or large speaker. I'd mount the amp next to the spare- where the plastic pocket was. If done right, it could be capped with plexy & coolly lit.
Search on eBay for a large body part like a door. The results page will show pictures of many wrecked xB's in salvage yards that are being parted out. Contact a few of the sellers asking for the specific pieces you need.

Here are a few I found on the first results page.

First place I looked was Toyota to get the part number and as usual, when ordering from the manufacturer, they want an arm & a leg. Shipping was insane too. I finally found one in a salvage yard near me, calling tomorrow to see how much they want (fingers crossed!).

I would love to do my own thing in the back but I've got a little one and this is my grocery getter so I need to have the room back there. Thanks for the idea though :)

Thank you, thank you! Totally forgot I could do that...lol.
Your B looks great. I noticed in the first pic that it appears to be a Tc sitting next to your car. I guess you can't swap out the wheels from that car for your steelies. The parts you need most likely will take a while to find, but when they're all in, you'll be ready for the next mod. Might I suggest getting the variable control wand switch for the wipers ( as shown in an earlier post on this site).

Yeah, we've got a little stock Scion family here...lol.
She won't budge on the wheels so I'm stuck with my steelies for now. Was thinking about doing something with Plasti dip but I haven't made up my mind on that yet.

Sounds pretty neat...looking into this now, thanks.
