This might sound alittle stupid , but I was wondering if I could install 55w 8000k HID's to my 2012 xb ? Even if my low lights are projector type housing . Or do I have to change housing ?

The stock housing is fine. one thing I will say is if your getting the 8000Ks because your going for the darkish blue look your going to want to go with 10000k because the 55W ballast will wash out the color.

In my area, if one goes too "blue" the lae will stop you.It looks too much like their flashing lights.
