Ok so I got me a 2012 Lava and was wondering if I lower it with the tanabe NF lowering springs can it still be aligned or will I have to buy a camber kit and do they even make one? Thanks for the help.

i would recommend getting a four-wheel alignment once its lowered. camber kit will not be needed unless its remain out of specs after the alignment. request a printout from the shop that does it.

For our xBs they should describe the 4-wheel alignment as "front wheels will be checked and aligned, rear wheels will only be checked since we can't adjust them unless we use shims".

I am on NF210s. Installing the springs changed the alignment on all four wheels. A 4-wheel alignment got the front wheels back into spec but the rear wheels are now slightly out of spec. Not enough to worry about tho.

Put on the NF210s, get a 4-wheel alignment, get the printout, relax and enjoy the improved stance, ride, and handling!

Thanks BrickPig! I'm looking forward to the new look my XB will have. I'm getting them installed Saturday but I probably wont get them aligned till Monday because of work. Now I just have to look for a place that knows what they are doing and won't rip me off.

If you go through the DIY I posted you will see it will not affect the rotor/caliper at all. They install between the axel (or in this case hub support) and the hub. Or you can always have the hub support bent back to counter the issue but if you ever want to put it back to stock you will have to reverse shim or rebend.

I installed TRD springs I got from a member here. I then took it to get the alignment done. All the shop had to do was to set the tow-in in the front. The rear beam is way out of Scion's spec's! The shop said they have only seen one xB where the rear was in spec. I then took my 2012 xB to the dealership to be checked out. They told me the issue was because of the springs. I told them so fix it! They refused and so I called Scion's worthless customer service. The worthless rep backed up the dealership. The dealerships can't sell below MSRP, but they can add on $2500.00 in a window tint and a wax job and charge the foolish customer $2500.00 with less then $30 invested. That's a license to steal! I had a window tinter do my windows, and he said he get's $10 to $15 per window from dealerships.

I can see a :boxing: coming!
