Hey all,
I am wondering if anyone else who owns a Gold Rush has noticed how easy it is to get a chip/scraitch in the paint? I am amazed at the chips I have found after washing mine yesterday and I have also noticed how careful I have to be in the interior due to how easy it is to scratch the gold inside. I traded in my 05 XB for this one and I don't think I had a scratch on it, inside or out and I was not easy with that thing! Plus I have had several other cars and never once worried about NOT scratching it but man this thing seems like the paint will rub off as soon as I wipe my finger on it! Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?

oh yeah, paint chips easily...but I don't think it's just GRM. Lots of people have this problem. I haven't had problems w/ the gold interior scratching, but the black part, yes. I've got several marks around the ignition from where I've hit it with the key when not looking for the keyhole.

Yeah my paint is chipping easily. However I am having absolutly no issues with my interior.

Oh yes, I have had mine for 3 months now and every day notice new scraches in the interior plastic, and I am pretty careful with it. Have only encountered one paint chip (I have BSP) so far, and that was from taking it through an automatic car wash. The chip was in an odd place (beneath the rear drivers side door handle) so I am guessing there was a little piece of gravel or something caught in one of the brushes. I will never again take my car (at least while driving a car I actually care about) through an automatic car wash...

I've had mine since April, Almost 8000 miles. So far no scratches or chips on the inside r out with the exception of the plastic panel on the rear hatch. That one was my fault as my tool box slid into it. The only automatic car wash I use is the touch less. Could be I baby it to much? But, I really enjoy this ride, so I take care.

maybe I am just unlucky, or that I notice things more on this one cause I baby it as well IDK...either way I am going to talk to the dealership and see if they can do anything. Yeah I know I am dreaming on that part, LoL. Thanks guys.
