i have a 2102 xb and i am wondering if anyone here knows of any other alternators with higher amperage that will bolt up to the xb without major modification? thanks for any input given

I really appreciate that vote of confidence, however I have not done that kind of parts swap. I know others on this forum have talked about it. Doing a quick search using "alternator upgrade", it looks like xseveredveganx has done an alternator upgrade but he didn't say how:

I know some folks on this forum are running second batteries and/or capacitors, and/or have done The Big 3:

evilcalvin has won a number of SQ contests and he seems to feel that the OEM alternator is not bad, but I think he may have upgraded his with Ohio Generator. Read this thread:

i appreciate it,im pretty sure i need to up grade because i have a powerbass xta 5000 wired to 2 ohm but i was just wondering if it were possible to mount a higher powered alternator from another vehicle so i dont have to necessarilky have to have a custom one made,again,the help is much appreciated guys,thanks

Considering that amp is supposed to have 2 200A fuses I don't think any stock alternator is going to handle that type of power draw.

i have just decide to start saving for a bigger custom built alt for it so itll be another month before i can order it,thanks guys
