I think it's BS. Too good/cheap to be true. Also, you might get that "check engine" light problem. Remember you get what you pay for.

It is big time BS. Horsepower cost money. Eight bucks for 20 horses is never going happen. I'm amazed that Ebay lets these scam continue. Read the sellers first negative feedback. Buyer said it was a paperclip.

What it is is a resistor added to the MAF sensor. What it DOES is force the vehicle to run rich (think the xB is flowing much more air than it is, rather than ACTUALLY flowing more air).

So, it may add some immediate power gain, but at a massive loss of MPG.
The VVT-i is a much more effective mechanism at making power efficiently.
