I had the WR intake, Strup header, WR engine damper, and Strup exhaust installed. I did each separately so I can feel the difference. The intake was first, that made the car a bit louder but it pulls a little stronger than stock.. Id say maybe 1-2 hp increase at most. Then came the header, which didnt help much on the low end since its a 4 into 1 design, but mid to high end you can feel a little stronger on acceleration. Especially from say 60mph to about 80. The exhaust, since its a catback was a bit louder than stock, I would expect maybe another 2-3 hp increase there. I saw this huge submarine resonator in front of the exhaust, Im sure if I removed that I would see a huge increase in power but than it would be much louder as well. The engine damper vibrates a little but I did notice less hesitation between shifts on the auto trans, acceleration seems much smoother than stock.

Sounds sweet -

I'm having the TRD intake, sport muffler, strut brace, LSD, and quick shifter put on this weekend.

Any idea how much faster she will be after I do that?

The problem with TRD stuff is that since the dealer sells it they have to completely CARB legal so therefore that reflects on how much flow and air performance products allow. I have a bunch of the TRD suspension stuff but chose to go another route for performance. Products like Weapon R, Fujita, Injen that make intakes for the Scions are much more free flowing then the TRD unit although I have to say the TRD is very well made. Same goes for the exhaust component of it. I have an auto so no need for the LSD there. One of the import mags recently did an install special, they put on an intake and a TRD muffler, got a total of about 3.2hp over stock. You will feel a little better pull, plus you can shift faster, so I think mostly it will be a mental thing over an actual performance thing. Every time I install something I always feel like its better, haha.

One thing you have to remember, its not always about horsepower. Some of those mods not only had a little hp, but they open up trapped power. You can have 200hp but if its not flowing right you don't make the best of it. My Jetta had 175hp stock. With a chip, intake, and cat-back exhaust it added maybe 20-25 hp(mostly from the chip). But what it did for the mid range power and take off was amazing. My friend has a Honda Si. The owner before him had put a cheap *** exhaust muffler on it. He took the time and money and put in a full exhaust. Headers to tip. It didn't add that much HP, maybe 5 or so, but now the car is a freakin beast. I almost lost control of it because it opened up so much torque that it yanked the wheel outta my hand. So yeah it may not always add allot of HP but it definatly makes vehicals perform better.

By the way, do you know what part number they used for your short shifter? I wanna pick one up for myself.
Man would love an LSD but thats expensive. Will probably wait till after I get a supercharger and upgraded clutch.

Hey scion scene, where did you get a engine damper?

Actually most of the TRD intakes are not CARB legal so they are not as restrictive as some think. But in the case of the new xB the intake is CARB legal along with the TRD Tundra Cold Air for the new 5.7L V8.

The quickshifter's part number is PTR46-52080.

I agree, peak to peak sometimes may not be that high but when you move the powerband around and can see increases much higher its a great feeling.
