I plan on installing some PIAA 3k 55watt bulbs in my oem fog lights. My question is will the bulbs eventually fry my oem fog light wire harness? Any advice would help?

it all depends on how long you have them on i currently run the same wattage and color. I ran them ON all the way to Vegas and just the other day when i removed my bumper to clean my air filter i unplugged them and they still are fine no signs of over heating or discoloration

I use mine more often. Just scared my oem wiring might get fried. :-\

I know that they sell harnesses that can take the heat just shop around

I have a pair of "old school" Bosch foglights installed. At first I powered them off the OEM wiring, but later had a change of heart when I realized just how thin those wires are. I went back and installed a relay for peace of mind.

I have come to a conclusion to buy an hid kit with wire harness relay. Thanks for your guys help.
