I bought my Xb June 20, the price for 2009 RS 6.0 online with the dealer was 19,901. When we went to buy it they had now installed invision dvd headrest screens and I was then told that the price had gone up to 22400.71 due to the screens with the installation at least thats what they told me when I asked why the price had increased. They were telling me that the headrests price was 2499.71 with installation and that I could not take them off. So I got it that way. Well I started checking up on the screens because there was something that was telling me that price was wrong and called the dealers parts section to find out the price for the headrests well the price they told me was 1749.00 with installation, so theres a difference of 750.00. well I contacted the dealer and they have been giving me the run arounds also they were then showing me an invoice for the screens that was saying the total was 2499.71 but this invoice they showed me had a date of June 23 days after I already had the Xb with me. Is there something I can do about this? Please any advice is appreciated! :(

Well the price was $1749.00 when I built my scion. I ended up not getting them though because i realized that i can't watch them when i drove . Well it sounds like they are charging $750.00 for the labor. If they wanted to sell the car which they definately want to do you should've demanded that you wanted the stock headrests. The salesmen make a lot of money on options. Sounds like to me they weren't being completely truthful. Thats the best i can come up with. Hope that helps.

I'm not really into dvd headrest as I rarely have anybody in the back but I'd assume that if you got the same set aftermarket, you probably would have paid 1/3 of that. When I bought mine, I paid $2500 for $500 rims and $500 tires. As MenniFresh said, the $750 is probably labor which I would assume comes out to $1,500 per hour.

Unless you really wanted the dvd headrest screen, you should've walked out on them and tell them you're going to another dealer and I'm sure they'd have knocked off the labor at least...

The only reason I'd have the dealer install anything is to have it wrapped up in the financing, otherwise you can usually get it cheaper elsewhere. You had the option of turning that vehicle down, or at least pricing out the options before buying it. Now that you've driven it off the lot, there's probably not much you can do. It's an expensive lesson to learn... If you're really unhappy, hop on the live chat on Scion.com and let them know.
