Or is this a factory color unique to the 2009 year? Kind of like the Nautical Blue that is only on ~2500 xBs out there?

(Not trying to put you down. Just genuinely curious.)

Its all good man, I think that what its called. Thats what it looked to me when I first saw it but it is probably stingray metallic. Either way its a great color.

Or would it be "elusive blue" . . . ?
Stingray is a mid-hue blue-gray and the Elusive Blue is a rather dark blue-gray-purple.

An 09 would be "Stingray"
The Elusive came later.

elusive blie is on the 2011+ models, which is also an awesome blue.

could be nautical blue metallic... but I think that was only on the 08s

I agree, I drove 45 miles to get my Stingray, because only that dealer had that color!
