There are times when i punch it, at that moment the car accelerates just not fast. There are times i do the same thing and it gets up and go.

My question is if anyone else sense this or is something wrong with my scion.

for the most part my engine is stock minus the TRD CAI installed by Toyota.

Any replys will help

Thanks,

Is it an auto or manual? I have the manual with the manual and it gets up and goes. I have the TRD CAI and it just seems to jump when I get on it.

I also have a manual transmission with a Fujita CAI and it gets up and goes....my wife drives easier than I do and I think that the engine management sets up for her and when I drive it resets to my more aggressive style after a short period of adjustment...(it seems to respond quicker for me after the first "jump"...after that it seems to be quicker.)

I have an auto, stock engine. Sometimes it seems like it could be a little quicker I guess, but that doesn't mean it's slow, it's just... a smoother acceleration is probably how I would put it. However, if I need it to go fast, it goes fast.

Bottom line: I've noticed this too.

When I first got my car it could make the tires screech for a second when I would accelerate from a stop now it doesn't do it anymore. I have an auto too
