I want to do something creative with my interior aka do something to the plastic around the shifter and the upper silver plastic everywhere, and I was wondering how do you get the black plastic off from around the headunit and center vents. Is it just a flathead and prying the edge? I'm also trying to get the area on the left of the steering wheel where the RS# is. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks again, Scott

u could use plastidip for the silver pieces

Well, I'm currently debating sticker bombing but I don't really know yet.

on my 2012 the radio piece just pops off, the piece around shifter just pops up too, I pulled almost half the dash out without taking but like 2 or 3 screws out. I sanded all those pieces, primed, painted and cleared them. They look great the same color as the car.

Yeah, I just wrapped the end of a large flat-head screwdriver with electrical tape to prevent scratches and the radio bezel just pops off.

Here's an earlier view of my dash, used Plastidip for the HVAC and shift panels.

Plastidip works, but make sure the surface is truly clean (Isopropyl Alcohol) before applying it. Also, don't beat on it, it'll peel if abused.

next to ur shifter whats that lil button? on mine its empty....i like ut shifter dude i did mine too in black the outter part i just got to do the other part idk if it just pulls right off as well

The space to the right of the shifter is for the glass break sensor (microphone) for the security system.

This is something that I want to do soon. I just did my first mod today, and I'm a little nervous trying to tackle the silver plastic pieces. I took the (auto) shifter off and popped out the piece around it. But that is as far as I got b/c I couldn't figure out how to get the hazard switch out!
Anymore help on this would be awesome!
I just want to do the silver around the shifter, the ac unit, the steering wheel pieces, and the side piece by the door.

Another option instead of plasti dipping or painting is the use of water transfer printing or hydro dipping. It's a great alternative to painting and leaves a great finish. You can pick a pattern or solid colors. Opens up a lot more options.

Found a local guy here that will do all of my pieces for $200.00
But for now, gonna have to go with the paint, like my hubbies!
It's a poor boy build, but doing it myself is worth it to me!

i think they do im not sure rockbox u might wanna wait and see if they do pop out just incase nothing gets broken
