I am replacing a seized engine in my mothers car. Punctured oil pan from road debris. 
This is a first gen Xb. The failed engine has a single wire thread mounted knock sensor. The replacement engine has two wire knock sensor mounted on a stud . It is in the same location on both blocks. My question , is the stud mount screw out like any other stud ? I put jam nuts and tried to unscrew but no go . If its a threaded stud I may apply some heat . I have penetrating oil applied tonight. My other thought is the stud pressed in place?
