Come out and help the Salt Lake Scikotics kick off the

TEDDY BEAR PATROL

The Teddy Bear Patrol campaign puts a Teddy Bear into the hands of community Police departments, Hospitals and Emergency Response teams! The Teddy Bear Patrol program is designed to reduce the trauma suffered by children who are exposed to violence, abuse or other upsetting incidents. The Teddy Bears help bridge the communication gap between the distressed child and the Police and Emergency personnel. Police and Emergency personnel have reported that the Teddy Bears have been invaluable to them in comforting upset children.

So come out and help us kick off this drive by donating a plush bear or stuffed animal. All donations will be given to the local Police and Emergency personnel. There will be good food and good company, we will also be helping the community out as well. Come on out and join us!

We have the local police department coming to help us out on this event. We also have B.A.C.A. coming by to make a donation and help the cause. And of course lunch from Papa Johns.

Well the event is a kick off to something we are going to do quite frequently. We can get the bears anytime!

Ok I wanted to share with everyone, we made the paper. The Salt Lake Tribune did an article about the teddy bear patrol we did. It was way to cool and we were very excited. We collected over 200 bears and provided the Murray City Police, The Sale Lake County Sheriff and the Utah Highway Patrol with Teddy Bears and other stuffed animals for their patrol cars. There were also alot of animals that were donated that were to big for the patrol cars, these animals were taken to The Childrens hospital before Christmas.
