I kinda agree w/ Sam. Can you imagine what mod's could be done? How 'bout a release series?

I can't wait to see what Scion does with the RS versions of these little beasts. I also can't wait to see one on bags!

This along with the FR-S is definitely going to put scion back where is used to be with the gen 1 xB.
My xB2 is an absolute tub in comparison (not that I don't love it :)), but I could easily see myself enjoying the bejeezus out of driving an IQ :)! The xB2 if I need to haul a load, the IQ for anything else!

I like the IQ my only complaint is that unlike all the other scions they didn't change the name, I think that if its going to be sold under a special brand name it should have a special model name too.

what do you mean? it's a scion iQ... what did they change on any other scion?
what I mean is that the XB the XD and the TC only have those model names in the US and Canada just like Scion is only in the Us and Canada, the IQ is called the IQ every where it's sold, so like I said I think it should have a different model name if it's going to be sold as a Scion.

IQ

Looking into adding the iq to join my 2010 xb. Not much room for rear passengers but I need a car for work since my wife drives the xb and my only other choice is to drive my Ford Super Duty Diesel or my HD Sportster. Kinda feel uncomfortable showing up at clients businesses or homes on a Harley.

Any further input on this IQ? Thinking of picking one up tomorrow at a great price...any known issues since this is a new engine in the scion line up?

No issues I know of. Been a low seller so far for scion but bigger in bigger metro areas.

Right. I'm in the heart of LA. My work territory is downtown LA, Beverly hills and Wiltshire district...very heavy traffic areas.

I guess that's why scion is discounting the iq by 2 grand. I have a chance to pick one up with leather seats and premium wheels for 15k

There shouldn't be any issues with it, as far as I know it's the same IQ that Toyota has been selling all over the world for a few years now the only difference that I know of is it has a Scion badge instead of a Toyota badge.

Make sure to test drive it. From what I've read so far, reviewers don't like the CVT (the only transmission available). So if you want your car to be a sporty drive the IQ may not be for you.

On the other hand, if you want a City Car designed for small loads and manuvering in tight spaces, then the IQ might be the answer.

If anyone does test drive it please let us know your observations!

It is especially made for urban driving. That is possibly why it has a CVT only. I love my xB 5spd. but when I have to drive in bumper to bumper traffic, that first to second then back again gets really tiring.

IQ

Update: picked up my 2012 silver iq today. I've only driven it a few miles from the dealer to home and then took the wife and my 6 and 7 year old girls to their swim team practice at our local aquatorium. It's not a sporty drive but that's not what I was looking for. The real test will be next week when I drive all over Los Angeles from client to client...I believe this car will serve its purpose...ooh...and I got it with leather seats and alloy wheels
