Ok,
I tried doing a search but find anything on new alignment spec's after TRD springs are installed.

So I'm asking anyone who has bought new TRD springs did the springs come with new "alignment spec's" from TRD? I only found the install instructions. Scion is trying to get out making the rear alignment correct. (within spec's) My rear axle has way too much toe-in. This will cause tires to ware much faster.

Thanks for your replies!

any time you do anything to the suspension its best to do an alignment, now the next question is do u have a solid or independent rear suspension? if u have a solid one there really isnt much you can do, u can have shims put in but thats going to cost a few hundred to do, and most garages that have an alignment rack the computer should be up to date on the specs, its not something that you can really look up on the internet.

Got the same issue. Running Eibach springs. My rear right toe is +31 degrees. Spec is +20 degrees

I read on the XB forums thats just the way it is. Put the stock springs back on & see if it changes

What was your toe reading?

My total tow-in is +32 total. Sad news for Scion, I'm making them replace the axel under warranty! I'm getting a rent a car too, the drive it like you stole it will come true here shortly. I would have dropped it all if they would have asked me what I wanted to do? But the service Manager at the first Scion dealership said there's nothing that can be done so I'm not doing anything! What, the **** you'r not blowing me off? You now got a fight your going to lose! :boxing:

Tell me stupid designers lol! I have nf210s and I've got my alignment as close as you can get. I have taken I to my buddie up a Acura and we have adjusted it 4 times the rear always the same but it's actually toe from factory. Every Xbs axle can be a tax different. I hate it and then you throw a set of new tires and one has pull now you have to rotate often but I have to make sure certain tires are in the right spot or I have crazy pull. It's solo rediculous. But I I've the way it sits so its a trade off. I would have been pissed if I go the trds and had to deal with all this madness!!

FYI.

Now the dealership is removing the TRD springs (all 4) then checking the alignment. If it's still bad they will warranty the rear axle and put the TRD springs back in. If you have a issue with the rear axle alignment PLEASE let Scion know ASAP! Scion admitted Toyota had issues with the Sienna. So if you have too much toe-in, let Scion know ASAP!

Update;
Toyota/Scion dealership removed the TRD springs, installed the OEM springs. The rear axle was still out of alignment. Scion replace the axle and did a alignment. Then called me to tell the xB was done. I go in to see the xB is setting on stock springs. I ask if they were going to install the TRD springs. The service writer wouldn't give me an answer. So I call Scion and ask what the heck was going on. Scion said I would have to pay to have the dealership to have the TRD springs installed. So I called the dealership and they said they wouldn't install the springs because it might cause the alignment to be out, so they couldn't install the TRD springs. WTF! The Scion is most likely being sold! At 53 years in age I love being bent over by Scion.

The best thing is I have been filling out on-line surveys about the Scion.

Hmm, anyone want to take a guess what I have put in for my reply's? Some guy @ the Costco gas pumps ask me how I like the Scion. H'mm, one lost sale for Scion!

You have been warned!

That is bullcrap that they wouldn't put back on the TRD springs or stand behind them. TRD even. Since you can't use them, you should demand from Scion that they buy them back and pay you what you had to pay to get them installed for good measure.

What does this say about everyone else that wants to use other springs? There are tons of you out there. I was hoping to get Tanabe NF210s in the future.

I called the service director and asked for a meeting with the service writer, service manger, Scion's field rep. & himself. So I can find out why they back out of their word. This dealership is an Auto Nation dealership and I have a friend that gave me the name & number of the Director of all the Auto Nation dealerships in AZ. I made a call to him. He told me he would make some calls. Pays to have friends in low places. ;)

Ok. Please let us know how it goes! Hopefully you get the full story. I am sure lots of people here would be interested to know if Scion/Toyota is saying their own TRD springs shouldn't be used on our cars.

Last update,

I got a call from the service manger asking when I would like to have the TRD springs installed. I told him what ever was go for the dealership. He asked if I could drop it off the next day Tuesday and it would be done by Wednesday. It was but, now the right rear toe-in is out of spec. It's better than it was so I'm done.

FYI The TRD springs drop the front 5/8" and the rear 1 1/2".
