Are you talking about just seat covers, like Clazzio, or actual replacement seat material. For the former, nothing to it. Just remove the headrest and arm rest and pull the cover over the existing seat and secure it according to the instructions. If the later then your best bet would be to disconnect the battery, unplug the air bag from under the seat, and take the seat out of the car to work on it. Once you have replaced the seat material with the new cover then just hook it all back up and bolt it in to place, then reconnect the battery. You really shouldn't have any problems with the air bag as long as you do not pinch any of the wiring for it or puncture it.

a seat cover is like putting a fitted sheet on a mattress... does not effect air bags

Well, I finished finalizing my replacement seat covers from Leatherseats.com and will be ordering them on Monday so in about 2-3 weeks I'll be able to let you know how hard they are to put on. I did discover that for the rear seats the covers are carpeted just like the factory ones, made it a bit of a pain since they usually use black carpet to match the stock stuff but since I'm doing a color change they were able to swap a different color carpet for me. Did mean that I had to order some extra carpet to redo the hatch area so it matches of course.

Clazzios and Leatherseats.com are two different beasts.

Clazzios are slip on seat covers while Leatherseats.com is replacement seat covers. You have to remove the stock fabric material from the seat and replace it with the leather material from them. Honestly I would have gone with the Clazzios if i could have because they are awersome looking, I've had a set before, but they didn't have anything in the color spectrum I'm going with.

Leatherseats is comparable with Roadwire and Katzkin. They are all the next step up from Clazzios, but a step down from having full custom upholstery done.

The Clazzios are much easier to put on and they look fantastic! I wish they did seats in the material I wanted as it would have saved me a bunch of time and more importantly money. But they didn't, so life goes on and money leaves my wallet. :)

Nope, I actually posted the color scheme in my build thread. The round leather sample is the seats and a few accents in and around the car.

OK, so I received my new seat material from LeatherSeats yesterday and installed the rear base last night, a royal PITA to do as it is all hog rings and the stock material is glued to the foam on the seating surface. Overall impression so far is the new covers are far superior to the stock cloth and the fit is dead on. I'll post pics once I have the rest of the seas done and everything is in.
