2010 xb 42 ooo miles. Sitting on my slightly angled driveway (10-15 deg)with engine off and car in 1st gear or Reverse(manual)we felt the car slide forward just a little bit, then again and again and again. It did it constantly until I put the handbrake on. Ever hear of any ScionxB manual tranny problems? I have owned manuals all my life and never experienced this before.

To me sounds like compression bleeding off the motor. But I'm not sure

I've never experienced that. But then, I -ALWAYS- use my parking brake. Every. Single. Time.

I went to a Scion dealership and tested one of their xB's and it did the same thing. So not to worry I guess I just have to remember to

use my parking brake. Every. Single. Time.

This is the FIRST car that I have owned that the engine compression doesn't hold the car on a small incline. I have driven manuals 99% of my life. Except for the shi**y Chevy Nova made by toyota. that was a auto. hhmmmm

I currently own an auto xB, yes, but I've owned 4 manual cars and 2 manual trucks in the past. Driven a total of over 500,000 miles on those vehicles. So I care.

Unfortunately, no. But they were all Toyotas. :smile:
