Anyone in SoCal affected by the fires?? If so, here's wishing you the best!

This has been crazy! There are 15 fires, only 4 of which are under control right now and latest count is 350,000 homes evacuated, 2 people dead and 1300 homes destroyed! To put it in perspective, last night they said there were more homes burning than firefighters working to put out the blazes!

I'm not affected here, living at central LA and all. My friend who's attending UCSD saying that the city itself is also not affected. But yeah, for those who are affected by the fire, my deepest sympathies to the families and wishing them a safe and speedy return to their homes.

i really feel for all the affected people here in california... only effect where i am at is lots of smoke and soot in the air at times and trying not to breathe it in too much...

i can not imagine having my home burned down and having to deal with that...

I got evacutaed out of the house. Everyone from the club came to help me out in my hour of need. I had to convince them all to leave the '08 parts cause they can be replaced. The neighbors house went up but they saved ours. We're doing everything we can for them now.

Whoa! I'm glad to see you're okay! Hopefully everything works out for your neighbors... that was just a horrible experience, but it's wonderful that people are so helpful.

My family and I had to evacuate. It was approx 5 miles from my house but ended up going the other way.
