Not sure if it's because this is my first "new" car and it's a dark color (elusive blue) but i only have 5000km's on my B (picked it up end of november 2012) and it seems to be covered in scratches ??? it's not parked in high traffic parking lot's and it doesn't go very far just in town driving ? i find it also attracts stones , i think it could be the low sloping windshield and the tip of the hood but i've been driving for 19 years and never had so many rocks and stones hit my car  anybody experience this with their B ? i've been i loyal toyota driver for 7 years now and don't want this to tarnish my feelings for them. i also noticed the other day my drivers window has two gashes running up and down about half inch apart possibly a roller busted ? i'll have to let the dealer know

I thought about either a full bra maybe hood only or a bug shield since they cover the whole front slope of the hood which seems to be taking the brunt of the chips . Not sure if the clear film is a good idea since it already has chips in it?

Soft glass on windshield

Besides the paint being thin/ soft I think that the windshield is made of very soft glass. My 09 Xb has thousands of little chips on the windshield and it's hard to see when the sun is shinning on it from the reflextion off those chips. I have had many other cars and of the 4 I have now it is the only one with any of these little chips and they all get driven in the same areas.
