Here's a video my installer posted

I'll try to post a better vid soon, I got rid of the trunk rattle by putting a piece of double sided tape in between the license plate and the plate guard. Do I still need dynamat if it's not rattling? I think he did a pretty good job. There's some scrapes on the interior plastic but not a big deal. I'll have to do the interior in cloth eventually. :)

best spot for the amp

well done cable

ground

Then I proceeded to wash and wax her in a million degree heat

thanks for viewing :)

thanks, yeah it's a great spot, easy to keep my eyes on the road

the scrapes are on the center mount and glove compartment, the plastic apparently scratches very easily - careful

If I want to change the sound up I just turn all these knobs

i have no idea what i'm doing, i think this is too loud for me. I just turned the gain down a quarter turn on the sub.

I think I have alternator whine, oh boy! :p

Did you run your power wire and your RCA wires down the same side? Run one down one side of your car and one down the other

Another cheap solution for the license plate rattle. Go to Walmart ad get shelf liner. Cut it to the size. Put it behind the license plate. Screw it through the liner. Bam. Rattle gone. I did it on mine. Costs $4.74 plus tax at my store. (I'm a good manager and know my products lol).

Looks good man. I had my amp in the same place for the subs I have under the front seats.
Now I have it under the rear cargo in the styrofoam storage

AVH-X2500BT - 2-DIN Multimedia DVD Receiver with 6.1" WVGA Touchscreen Display, MIXTRAX, Bluetooth®, and AppRadio Mode for iPhone® | Pioneer Electronics USA
I got that one, it's decent but could definitely be better. I replaced the speakers too it didn't sound very good with the stock speakers hooked up, very distorted.

Chris, interesting, I'll have to change it up and see I guess. Thanks for the advice

What kind of speakers did you end up using for all 6?

System sounds sweet especially from 50 feet away haha

This appears to be a Rockford Fosgate 5-channel amp Rockford Fosgate 5-Channel or more Amps | Car Amplifiers | Car Audio at Sonic Electronix either the R600X5 (50wx4 + 200w @ 4 ohms) or the P1000X5 (75wx4 + 200w @ 4 ohms).

Comparing the pictures, the installer used preamp inputs for all channels (front L+R, rear L+R, and sub) and new wires out from the amp to all the speakers. Can't tell if the installer replaced the OEM speaker wires all the way out to the speakers in the doors (the OEM speaker wires are pretty thin. Doing the front doors would be easy, but the rear doors would be tough because of those in-frame electrical connectors.)

For speakers, from prior posts, markio was looking at
also I suggested that he look at

It looks like fun!

The RCA wires can pick up a signal from the power wire and you'll hear it through your stereo. I ran my power down the driver side and everything else down the passenger side. No problems

I think the front two speakers are fine, but the back door rear speakers are so weak...

If I change out just the back ones and a sub i should look into a 3 channel amp with how many watts?

Sorry I been out of the game with speakers. This is my first actual real car i bought. lol

a 5 Channel amp will do a great job. its all about tunning once you have everything installed.

to Cmudge26: the 5th channel is for pushing a subwoofer. If you only have 4 speakers you only need a 4 channel amp, but if you buy a new amp, having that 5th channel is nice in case you later add a sub.

And if you buy an amp, I recommend replacing all four door speakers including the separate tweaters in the front sail panels. The OEM speakers will eventually fail if fed too much power, and in doing so may damage the amp.
