Hey guys, I've heard horror stories about speaker replacement. How the stock system isn't enough power to sound good with after market speakers. I stumbled across this on ebay, and was wondering if anyone had used it. I like the ease of it and the fact its a full kit, but If its best to get a sub first to compensate for loss of bass, I'd rather to focus on that first. Check them out and tell me what y'all think.

That looks interesting!
The packaged adapters for both the door and wiring plug goes the extra mile. Makes me interested . . .

I'll bet those adapters are available separately. Are the Kickers good speakers?

New speakers

I used infinity reference components for up front and coax for the back.
They came with mounts that have rubber backing to go against the steel
door and rubber strips to put against the actual speaker to help vibrations.
You would need to buy your own connectors.

Payed $109 for front (6030) and $46 for back (6032) at amazon.

They are 2ohm speakers that will work with 4ohm system. they are almost
as loud as the stock ones but much clearer. Now I am ready for a new amp
and head unit when needed. The infinity 5 channel amp is only $213

Are there just woofers in the back speakers with our cars or what? I turn the fade to rear and you can't really tell what's playing. If I changed speakers would it play more range? Or is something actually wrong with my setup?

Sorry to hijack :)

I replaced my speakers with some Rockford Fosgate punch series. The stock head unit definitely isn't enough to power them. I pulled them until I upgraded to a Pioneer 3500. couldn't be happier. They sound fantastic with my RF 12" sub.

By the way, that seems crazy expensive for those speakers. I ordered mine from Crutchfield. Buy two get two 1/2 off. They have sales like this all the time and in fact I think they have that going on right now. I paid less than that and they came with all of the adaptors and wiring harnesses. Was a simple plug and play.

Ok thanks. Good to know it's not just me, especially since they hooked up my stereo wrong and I didn't have bluetooth when I bought the car.

If it's by design, maybe it's because of the cavernous space in the back of the car that they chose to do that. People in the back won't be hearing much in the way of words in songs coming from those speakers, just from the front speakers.

Yeah it really is an awful setup. Before I got my new head unit all my daughter heard in the back was bass and she wasn't happy about not being able to hear her Justin Timberlake......teenagers.....

Yes, the stock rear speakers are cheap 5.25" paper cones.
