Wow, great! Thanks for that. Think I am going to do something similar, but I think I'm going with 6 3/4 round speakers. I think the 6x9s make it obvious that one side is different than the other. The 6 3/4 speakers can be turned the same direction. Think what I will do is make the fillers out of 3/4 plywood, recess the screwheads (cap head hex heads) and paint the fillers with some textured paint. You can pop those panels off pretty easy to put a nut on the back. . I am putting a stereo in my wife's car, so I think I am going to give her the amp I have running my sub, and get me a 4 channel amp. I already have mine setup with quick disconnects so I can take the box out easy when I need to (90s caddies have great quick disconnects on the headlights). Then, I have some old subwoofer box wire hookups that I am going to mount in the space right behind the passenger seat so I can remove the wiring from the amp without having additional dangling wires when I need my cargo area. Think it will be bitchin!
