So having my xB since December, I've noticed something that I really don't like about it.

The engine bay has gotten FILTHY. I imagine this happens to all cars but being as how the xB is about as aerodynamic as a toaster, it gets pretty sandy under the hood.

My question is, has any one bought one of these?

My question is....is why is the original "engine splash shield" missing?

See that's where I am a little confused.
Is this suppose to go over top the motor?
If so I don't have it.

From the ebay link it says "Product fit : OE replacement" so there you go. You should have one now and this is just a replacement for what comes on the car. I would guess it goes underneath. I haven't actually taken a look at mine though.

It's the plastic piece under the motor.

I did notice it said OE replacement.
Must have been my hopefulness confusing me.
I guess I'm gonna deal with a dirty motor all the time.

No it is the original equipment part that goes under the engine towards the front of the engine bay. Note that on the passenger side there is a flap that protects the oil filter. If the shield is not installed...it needs to be...
