Hello everyone,

I was looking at this wing for my xB on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Painted-OEM-Factory-Spoiler-Scion-XB-08-09-Rear-Wing_W0QQitemZ250428616769QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3a4eb57041&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1171|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

Anyone dealt with this kit? Should I beware? Anyone have any suggestions of where I should get a spoiler from. Any tip for installation? Difficulty of installation on a scare of 1-10?

Thanks for all your insights in advance!

I just bought this same spoiler from eBay. It came in great shape, I had seen step by step installation photos and instructions on one of the forums before, but I can no longer find it for some reason...

However, there is another place that offers a PDF of install instructions (top right corner):
http://www.trdsparks.com/displayparts.php?Mdl_dtl=631&Part_cat=27&parts_id=1557
and they also offer a template kit for only $24 which even though the eBay spoiler says it comes with instructions, mine were very general and did not help at all in the end!
Template kit:
http://www.trdsparks.com/displayparts.php?Mdl_dtl=631&Part_cat=27&parts_id=1560

There are step by step photos for the old xB (if this helps any): http://scionevolution.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6509

Good luck!

I just installed my spoiler this weekend. It was fairly easy. The spoiler from eBay came with "locator strips" that you connect to the spoiler with tape, then put the spoiler in place, tape the strips down to the car and remove them from the spoiler. Drill the holes using the strips and install. You just pop out the plugs on the inside of the hatch and be careful drilling the hole on the driver's side because the tail light wiring is in the same area.

I just bought the same spoiler, white too! I was wondering if i should do it myself or just have my local body shop do it. I guess ill call em and see how much they will charge to do it. The spoiler itself wasnt to expensive at all. I think it was $115 shipped.

**** i might get one voodoo blue on my black one cause i like the blue. Ok maybe i wont. I want one that goes on top about a 2" l shaped , i seen one but now cant find it
That two-tone look might look pretty cool. You might have to paint something else to make the two-tone effect really pop out. I was thinkin if you did the spoiler in blue, maybe do the mirrors too?

I bought one as well, I will be getting it on Tuesday. They even had my VooDoo Blue (8T6) color. I can't wait.
PRIMER SCION XB 08 FACTORY STYLE SPOILER - eBay (item 140276660228 end time Apr-09-11 10:56:57 PDT)
in case I didn't say before, this was a perfect fit and the color match was spot on. I installed it in 30 minutes. remember: measure twice cut once. Be sure the hole is your best guess. Do not over tighten the screw mounts.

p.s. it fit the 2011 xb just fine and the RS8 color code is 8T6.

Good deal!!!! I was wondering does the ebay spoiler cut down on the road grim like the oem? In pictures the gaps look a little different. I am wondering because my sw gets hella dirty. Im still on the fence about the spoiler. I like the look of my car now but hate that i wash it drive down the road and it looks like i just wasted my time lol.

Ok so I just dropped off my car & spoiler at the body shop. I gave the guy everything that came with the spoiler but judging from his facial expresions I think I should have just waited for warmer weather to do the install myself lol. Oh well we will see what happens! If I post a pic of the spoiler mounted upside down somehow or mounted on the hood of the car then you know why lol!
