So I have the 2011 with the pioneer head unit. I hate the built in ssp options. Is there a way to access an equalizer to set them myself? If I hold the ssp button, the only options I get are fader and balance. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

This one's easy. While the Fader and Balance display is active, turn the big silver knob slightly clockwise. This will step you thru Bass, Treble, ASL, subwoofer level and phase (if connected), and ASR.

I think ASL is Auto Sound Level. ASR is supposed to enhance certain sound sources.
