I got some new lights for the holiday and I went to install them and I've hit a problem that maybe you all can help with. I've got the 3 nuts off the light assy and I can't remove the light from the car. Its obvious that there is still one piece holding the light in place but I can't figure out what it is. I was reading the shop manuals and I'm still missing what is keeping this light attached. Any help you guys could lend would be appreciated.

A few of the other members have swapped out their tail lights and I'm sure someone will be along soon to answer your question.

The PDF instructions provided on the Sparks Toyota site for installation of the TYC Taillights worked for me without any problem. It calls for pulling on the top of the light assembly first, to release a snap, then pulling it straight out.

The stock tail lights are held in by 3 screws and one white plastic peg. I undid the bolts and used a hammer and a screw driver to gently knock the peg loose. Didn't even break the peg. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Edit
I see that I am very late to this thread. I hope this info will still be of use to someone.
