Hi all,

I am debating whether I should go for the Takeda CAI or Ebay k2 motor CAI?

There's a guy from another forum selling his lightly used afe Takeda CAI for $100.

And people say the ebay k2 motor CAI works just as good as the others for $62?

If you use the ebay one don't use the filter it comes with. Get a k&n or another known brand.
The filter it comes with is crap and wont filter good at all lol.

If you live in CA, the EBAY CAI is NOT CARB compliant. CHP has specialist officers, that when they pull over obviously modded cars, will ask to check your exhaust and under the hood.

Many people with 250/2500-3500 trucks have been pulled over and tickets written for illegal intakes, no kitty, tuners, non-stock turbos...fines up to and over $1k

California is broke and needs money, so be careful what you put on your car in CA, as far as intake/exhaust mods, tuners, and other performance enhancing products.

I've had a Fujita intake in the past and noticed no difference in performance between the two. i suspect that the K2 is the same set-up so i would expect similar performance from it.

I'm planning to get the TRD one eventually. Big $$ for sure but the wife made a good point. I have a 7 year warranty and the CAI is the front end of the engine. So I'm asking for TRD Sparks gift certs for Christmas, lol. It does look **** cool too.

To my knowledge I don't know anyone that has the newer TRD CAI on here. So after I get it, I'll post on here how I know it is way better than everybody else's CAI.

I have the takeda and its worth every penny for real! You feel and hear a big difference with it and the best part is you can switch it to short ram which is what i prefer. good luck
