No not burl, Tartan, it's patterned leather looking vinyl.

I didn't even notice the cord, it's actually for my heat gun which is sitting behind the glove box.


I'm actually working in a couple different materials, two different 3M vinyls, spray paint, and the leather looking vinyl fabric. Should come out with a complete transformation when done.
