Is the telescoping steering wheel in the 2011+ xB's compatible with 2008-2010 models?

This would be a good upgrade for folks with long legs and arms.

Not exactly amigo. Stereo changes, seat inserts, a different console, some cosmetic body and dash gauge changes and a telescoping steering wheel are hardly significant.

When they offer sunroofs on every model, a 2.5 engine and six speed transmission with better mileage and maybe some base factory alloys, then you might have a case. :book:

The differences from the Gen 1 to the Gen 2 were HUGE. A Gen 3 would have to be a real overhaul of the whole car. Much more than sunroofs, 6 speeds and alloy wheels.

how about the rear lights, rear bumper, front bumper, both grilles, front headlights and map lights entirely. There is some more differences.

I think 2.5 is a better description, because there are obvious changes, but it is essentially the same. To be a new generation I would think the body will actually be redesigned. I would think 2013-2014 would be when we could expect to see that.

A telescoping wheel that could be moved closer to the driver would definitely be nice! However, the 2011 only moves away -- wouldn't help me in the least !
