Hope someone can help with this.... new XB with 25k miles... inside edge of both front tires have worn down to the fiber cords.... standard freeway driving..... nothing special but was surprised to see cords showing thru tires with no apparent rub points on chassis....
anyone else experiencing this........... new tire time due to inside sidewalls..

It looks like you need an alignment to go with those new tires. Buying new tires without the alignment will probably produce the same results.

I have over 20k miles on my tires(rotated every 5k) and they have another 15k miles of life left, I drive mostly city which will wear tires down faster.

I also have over 20K miles on my original set, again rotated every 5K....also mostly in the city...and expect to go another 10K. Concur that if alignment is out it would not be smart to put a new set of tires on the car.

Alignment is definitely out. Do you have any suspension mods?

I have 43 k on original tires and they are down to about 5 percent of 10.. i cant complain since i drive the car to death ! which is why i bought it .. to enjoy it ..

Definately, an alignment is needed. You shouldn't need alignmet on the rear, though.

There is no factory adjustment available for rear alignment, but changing the rear stance definitely affects the rear alignment. It's not yet clear if he modified his supension.
