How do I remove the tpms after removing the tires? Is the valve stem and tpms one piece?

What do you mean remove tpms? The actual sensor or the whole system?

The sensor itself can simply be unscrewed from the wheel via the nut on the outside. 11 or 12mm not sure which on these.

The system? Well. Got any electrical tape laying around to cover the light? ;)

Oh. And the sensor can be removed from the stem via a torx screw. T20? Can't recall. It's easier just to put a standard rubber valve though.

There is an older post where one of the members wanted to have "summer wheels" &"winter wheels" but didn't want to keep changing the tpms sensors. So he got a piece of 2.5" pvc pipe w/ end caps, placed the sensors in it ,drilled a hole in one of the caps, and added a valve stem. Then he put air to it to the spec pressure and placed it in the spare tire area.
"Tada", no more lite on the dash! In a later post, he said that the pressure was holding, and
that issue was over.
