Hey xber's,

Does anyone know how I can get my hands on an extra filter for the TRD CAI?? I have tried calling dealer and all i get is a run around. I am thinking about selling CAI and going with Fujita Intake System.

I want an extra filter so that when I clean my original one all I have to do is pop in new one and go.

have a good one!

i just recharged my trd cai filter today. it was a pain waiting for it to dry. it would've been nice to have a spare. but every 50,000 miles. wonder what it would cost to have this serviced at the dealership. would they wait 6-8 hrs to do it right? i measured my filter while i had it out and it's 7 1/4 x 12 1/4 outer dim. & 6 5/8 x 11 5/8 inner dim; FYI. i will look for a K&N as a spare.

Is it a flat or conical style filter? Check out AFe's offerings for filters as well. They offer a large variety and also offer dry filters that you simply wash out with warm water and dry. Most if not all have a lifetime warranty too. I'm in no way associated with them but have had their filters and intakes on all my cars and have never been let down.

it's a flat filter 1 13/16 deep. the k&n or afe dimensions would have to match. it's a snug fit in the housing. i'll make some calls and get back. the trd p/n provided the earlier post is correct. it was marked on my filter.

Hey, new member here. I feel like dummy asking this as I'm usually proficient with car maintenance but I have the TRD CAI on an '08 xB I bought used and cannot figure out how to get to the filter element. I can see it through the air dam vent but cannot get to it. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

@ Jruless, I tried, They had none that would fit. I gave up on my search.

@Sandragon, the easy way is to take off the driver side tire, unbolt the plastic and you should be able to get to it.
