Hey i was wondering if anyone ever installed a trd exhaust on a RS8? i was told from the dealer that it wont fit due to the ken style kit but i wanted to see if anyone made one fit? If so i would appreciate any tips thanks. Also if you installed your own aftermarket exhaust let me know i am looking to upgrade from stock but do not want annoying loud noise while driving since i drive every day.

The trd exhaust tip is nearly 6 inches. You could probably do with a lil longer hanger. Personally, the t r d exhaust is a waste of cash. Spend it on the tsudo.

yeah i saw that rs8 already. Its pretty nice but personally the exhaust is way to loud. If i were to get a TRD exhaust it will probably be used because i will never pay that full price lol its just crazy.

But you gotta remember too, without doing anything to the scuba, its gonna sound the same. Ive had stock, straight pipe, and the trd. The trd I have on now and can barely tell except a 1500 rpm rumble. After that, nada. The straight pipe was the only dif, even that wasnt at all loud. Go ahead and take off your muffler. And drive around a little, youll see.

+1 on this.

I am looking to do a scuba replacement to get more sound. I have an aftermarket exhaust and you can't hear anything really. It has a nice hum when you are directly outside it, but aside from that its very subtle. As long as you do not replace the scuba, then any exhaust for our cars will work. If you are concerned with sound, however, I would probably make sure its an exhaust with a "muffler"... straight pipes like Borla can be kinda loud IMO. Let me know if you want me to tape some of my sound. Its a great and inexpensive exhaust... only thing is I don't have super equipment but I don't mind helping.

yeah if you dont mid show me a clip. Also i plan on using a header as well but I've never thought of replacing the scuba but thanks for the advice. I am still not looking for a loud muffler on the car, more like something a little more noticeable if that makes any sense?

I've gone thru 2 different exhausts and they both sound the same. Had both scuba back tsudo and strup. If you don't change the scuba they all sound exactly the same.
