I had to get on the go pedal pretty hard today for the first time with my xb.

On the freeway, I had to pass 4 cars to find an empty spot on an offramp. I went from 60-72 in what seemed to be less that 2 seconds, easily passing the vehicles i needed to get off.

3 days in, and seems pretty spunky in the power department.

When I first got the 'b, I pulled out of a shopping strip mall and noticed some cars getting pretty close so I mashed it. First of all, the front end lifted up, and the tach climbed real quickly close to red line, a shift to second then third and I'm doing almost 50, time to let off the gas! That was a real eyeopener.

I do it when I give people rides after they say "that huge car is slow." Or something else along those lines.

yeah I gave a ride for a friend awhile back, and we both arent small guys, and the B still did a good job of getting out in front of traffic on the 10... I love the get up and go.

The XB2 is ok, beats my sister's Sentra. I came from a chipped and injectored VW TDI that had 280 lbft of torque. No issues passing at all, never had to take it out of 5th to pass, even on hills. Leave it in 5th and roll on the throttle. If you romped on it would put out black smoke.

If I was still driving 20+K a year I would have bought another TDI but I do less than 12K a year and mostly stay in town now. Diesels aren't really good for short trips around town. A lease with smaller payments made more sense this time around.
