So I have a new '12 xb with the SNS navigation (please hold back the groans, aftermarket gurus). Finally put it to good use today and I noticed something completely weird. The map itself showed the correct path (taking the next exit on the right), however the voice kept saying "left exit". At first I thought I was hearing things, but it happened for each exit I took throughout the day (6-7, all right exits).

Now turning onto a street there is no issue, the voice tells me the correct way. Seems to be only with highway exits. I'm going to see if there is an alternate voice option - maybe the computerized chick just can't say "right exit".

Would you think this is an issue with the SD card or the SNS200 unit itself? Like I said earlier, the actual map on the screen shows the right exit just fine.

Have any other SNS200 owners noticed this issue?

Thanks,

Doomy

newest GPS disk?

ill have to try mine tonight. i just got the latest update.
The maps are actually stored on an SD card that comes with the nav. Only one disc slot in the SNS200 unit and that's for CD or DVD.

Made a quick 10 sec video on the way home. Half mile away it said exit was on the right, then as I come up on it, says it's on the left. Let me find a place to host in and I'll throw up a link.

I have the SNS-200 too. I thought I was imagining things but mine has done that too. Weird indeed. I will have to check that out again.

Did you call the dealer or Scion's 800 customer support number? Maybe there is a TSB for a map update. At the very least, Scion needs to know about it so they can get it fixed.

I had an issue with the nav system in my rs6. I called customer support and was very happy with the result.

Troll, what yours says may be legit. Basically saying after you take the next exit on your right then stay to the left once you're on that exit (since many exits fork to to in opposite directions).

My issue is it's actually saying it's a left exit, lol.
