for me it is the S-mode sequential shift on the automatic transmission - i really like being able to manually shift w/o a clutch when i want to. it really utilizes the engines power better when a boost of speed is needed or wanted :D

it is also great for hill / mountain driving as it will help to use the engine to keep the vehicle in control on steep grades [up or down] by being in the proper gear...

I thought my answer would be too generic... I mostly like the uniqueness.

I didn't necessarily choose to give up my tC. I suppose I didn't have to, but I didn't want to try and fit a car seat in the back of that. So, the size is a vast improvement in that regard. When it came time to replace the tC, I assumed I would do so w/ a Camry. We ended up w/ both an xB and the Camry. Since I'm a huge fan of Scion now, it was only natural which one I ended up with and, of course, I have no complaints. And I'll like it that much more once I get it lowered and get new wheels/tires. It's definitely unique as-is and allows me the flexibility to do what I want to make it even more unique. :)

I like the center instrument position on the dash which makes it very easy to read. I find that when the gauges are in front of the driver the steering wheel is in the way of viewing some of the information. Since it is oblong in shape it doesn't seem to stand out like a one eyed monster.

MMMM....where do I start! (I got mine in May 07, I have 14,500 miles on it as of today) As some one who traded an Infiniti M for the 2 Gen (08) xB, there are many things that were (are) very appealing about it's body style, size and power. Particularly the ease with which I can make it distincively (personal) mine. When I'm traveling, I can pull into a rest area and lye down in the back very comfortably.

I can carry a get deal more (than the M could) when needed. The Mods are relatively inexpensive, there are many choices which makes it uniquely mine, though I have noticed that several in town are adding some of the same features that I have.

I also own a Honda Element, I think the xB is more responsive and fun to drive, but let us not compare apples and oranges.

Each of us likes the 2 Gen xB for many of the same reasons; 1) Oddly and Uniquely Different, 2) Personalizaion, 3) Utlility (not the same old SUV), 4) Economy (this one is tough to see, since the fuel tank is small) and 5) Economics (Cost vs Value vs Resale).

I could go on, I think it's clear why this Generation will be even more popular than the last.

I had an 04 xb, now an 08.. here is the comparison pros and cons

Pros
WAY WAY WAY more power and torque
More comfy, more room, Im 6'3
Much easier to read gauge panel
Feels more stable, like a real car vs. a toy
Cabin is quieter
More fun to drive

Cons
Big difference in gas mileage
Harder to find parking spaces in the city
Kinda liked the go-kart feel of the old B
Aftermarket parts cost more, less availability

I had to have my chick-magent feature removed.. I'm a mairried spud :)

I really like how quite it rides.
The color, when I can actually get it clean, is quite beautiful. (Nautical Blue)
Very peppy motor. I figured out I can chirp the wheels the other day :)
The stereo, even the standard unit, is a lot better then my Beetle. I like the AUX port for listening to my Zen.
And the overall style of the car itself.

hands down...my favorite feature is the position of the shifter. However, coming in a close second is the ipod connectivity, and rounding out third would be the immense amount of space in the back...if you know what i mean :naughty:

My fiance is loving the Nautical blue and blackberry crush. When I told her white was my second choice if I didn't get the RS she was a little upset. As far as chirping the tires, I did that by accident on my test drive. I can't wait to find out what this thing can do for real. If the sound system is better then m jetta I will be impressed.

I hear ya. I have a 1 yr old in a carseat (obviously) and an 8 yr old in a booster, so no matter how much I wanted the tc, I had to be practical. I know I'm gonna love it, with everything I'm reading it'll be a much better buy.
