Garmin Nuvi about 1 year old, and my sister also has a Garmin Nuvi that is maybe 2 or so years old. They both work great!
How did you mount that right there? Just using the suction cup in the bottom?gr8scape said:Here is my setup.

Oh yeah now I see it in the pics... Good idea. The windshield is where mine will be going for now thoughgr8scape said:First I made a plexiglass cover for the cubbie, painted it black and used 3M tape to hold it in place then just used the suction holder.
Dark gray would look good, you're right. Are you talking abou that flat part directly behind the steering wheel? 'Cause that looks like a great spot. That way I could use the little circle "mounting disc" thing that came with my Garmin and not have to worry about making my own. Plus, I could still use that cubbie to the left for sunglasses or my cell phone when needed... Tomorrow I'll go outside and see if the steering wheel blocks the screen at all.TartanJack said:For those making mounting plates . . .
The dash is a charcoal gray, rather than black. So, a dark gray paint would blend in better.
Also, I would mount one on the flat part in front of the driver, next to the gauges. It is a perfect place to one.
Great thanks. I'll more than likely put it right behind the wheel then. I'll test it out tomorrow just to make sure though.TartanJack said:I have a pad mounted just behind the steering wheel, and it is below the upper shelf. So, unless you are VERY short AND have the seat at the lowest setting, it should be above the steering wheel, in sight, and directly in front of the driver.
Exactly. Here's where I put the disc:TartanJack said:I mean the area directly in front of my painted Scot flag:

Thanks for the kind words, ocotillo!ocotillo said:Great spot and even better pics!
Hahaha. Well, this has a 4.3 inch screen, so not quite as big as the Cowboys one.ocotillo said:Your GPS looks as big as the screen at the new Cowboys Stadium.Parkers09xB said:Thanks for the kind words, ocotillo!ocotillo said:Great spot and even better pics!![]()
